Loot Beacons

All settings for this feature live under Settings Loot Beacons .

The Loot Beacons module marks dropped items worth picking up with a beacon — a vertical pillar of light and a ring on the ground — in the 3D game world. Beacons are composited under the in-game UI and depth-tested against the terrain. Choose what gets a beacon by rarity, by trader value, or both.

This is a beta feature. If the in-world compositor fails to install, the settings panel says so at the top.

What gets a beacon

  • Beacon on valuable items — beacon any drop whose Kamadan trader price meets the Value threshold (gold), regardless of rarity. This catches white-rarity valuables like ectos, gemstones and dyes.
  • Beacon by rarity — turn beacons on per rarity (White, Blue, Purple, Gold, Green), each with its own colour.
  • Show beacons on items reserved for other party members — also beacon drops assigned to other players (drawn dimmed). Off shows only unreserved drops and drops assigned to you.

Appearance

  • Occlude behind terrain — hide beacon parts that fall behind terrain.
  • Maximum render distance — how far from the camera beacons are drawn.
  • Beam height / Beam width / Beam opacity — the pillar of light above the item.
  • Ring radius / Ring opacity — the ring drawn on the ground at the item.
  • Height lift — raises the ground ring slightly to avoid flicker (z-fighting).
  • Pulse speed — pulse rate in Hz (0 = no pulsing).
