Chat Settings

All settings for this feature live under Settings Chat Settings .

Timestamps

  • Show chat messages timestamp Settings Chat Settings Show chat messages timestamp — Show timestamps in the message history.
    • Use 24h Settings Chat Settings Use 24h — Display timestamps in 24-hour format.
    • Show seconds Settings Chat Settings Show seconds — Include seconds in the timestamp.
    • Color Settings Chat Settings Color: — Customize the timestamp color.

Chat Bubbles

  • Hide player chat speech bubbles Settings Chat Settings Hide player chat speech bubbles — Don’t show in-game speech bubbles over player characters that send a message in chat.
  • Hide all friendly speech bubbles Settings Chat Settings Hide all friendly speech bubbles — Don’t show any in-game speech bubbles from friendly entities.
  • Show NPC speech bubbles in emote channel Settings Chat Settings Show NPC speech bubbles in emote channel — Speech bubbles from NPCs and heroes appear as emote messages in chat.

Message Redirection

  • Redirect NPC dialog to emote channel Settings Chat Settings Redirect NPC dialog to emote channel — Messages from NPCs that would normally show on-screen and in team chat are instead redirected to the emote channel.
  • Redirect outgoing whispers to whisper channel Settings Chat Settings Redirect outgoing whispers to whisper channel — Whispers you send appear blue like an incoming message, with -> before the name.
  • Open web links from templates Settings Chat Settings Open web links from templates — Clicking a template with a URL as its name opens that URL in your browser.

Appearance

  • Chat window font size Settings Chat Settings Chat window font size — Choose from Default, Large, Larger, or Largest.
  • Chat Colors Settings Chat Settings Chat Colors — Customize the sender and message color for each chat channel: Local, Guild, Team, Trade, Alliance, Whispers, Emotes, and Other.
  • Chat Token Colors Settings Chat Settings Chat Token Colors — Customize the highlight color of text tokens such as item rarities (Common, Uncommon, Rare, etc.) and other labeled text throughout the game.

Other

  • Clear chat message when hiding the in-game chat window Settings Chat Settings Clear chat message when hiding the in-game chat window — Clears any typed text when you hide the chat window.

Chat Commands

  • /afk [message]: Set your status to Away and optionally set an AFK message
  • /age2: Display instance time in chat
  • /chat [all|guild|team|trade|alliance|whisper]: Open or switch to the specified chat channel
